What we need from you
You are required to submit an official transcript or certified copy of your grades (in English or Italian) and a certified copy of your degree certificate from the college or university you attended. This must include grades for individual subjects with the grading scale, the type of degree, the date of graduation and the dates of enrollment.
Applicants who obtained a university degree in Italy must provide a self-declaration of the Degree Certificate and Transcript (form provided by your university). This self-declaration is only for students who graduated from Italian universities.
The EMiLUX is held entirely in English, thus all applicants must be highly proficient in written and spoken English. If English is not your mother tongue, you must submit a result of the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic or CPE tests.
At the testing site, you can specify that your results be sent directly to SDA Bocconi (TOEFL School Code: 0698, PTE School Code: R7G-6R-23). If you have already taken one of these tests, the original results must be sent directly to the school. Test results prior to January 2022 are no longer valid.
A test result may be waived for mother-tongue English speakers and for students who did their degree in English, or can document significant professional experience in an English-speaking country.
Reference must be from a person who knows you well, and can comment knowledgeably on your professional and/or academic background, providing a detailed evaluation of your qualifications for our EMILUX.
The contact details of your referee (name, surname and company email address) will need to be uploaded on the automatic tool of the online application form. The referee will then receive a form to be filled out and submitted to us.
You will be required to have an interview with the program director. In cases where the applicant cannot easily travel to Milan, the interview can take place remotely by phone or over the internet.
How to Apply
The online application form must be completed with accurate and precise information regarding your personal and professional experiences and your reasons for attending the program. Please, fill it out and submit it through our website and upload all required documents to the “Documents” section of your online application.

Admission Process
The Application Deadline is on 18 October 2024.
The EMiLUX provides a rigorous selection process based on specific criteria defined by SDA Bocconi necessary to guarantee participants and companies a high quality educational experience. The selection process aims to assess both your academic and professional experience, and your individual motivations and abilities. However, the selection should not only determine if you are suitable for the EMiLUX, but also if the program will meet your expectations and your career goal.
We Look for Highly Motivated Candidates
We encourage you to initiate the process by submitting your application for admission to Admissions Service, then send in the required documents as soon as possible.
As soon as the selection process is completed you will receive a formal letter from Admissions Service, which will inform you of the admission decision. The results are never communicated by telephone.
The selection process will yield one of the following results:
- Admission: If you are accepted, alongside the official admission notice you will receive a participation contract.
If all available places are occupied, the school may decide to put you on a waiting list or offer you admission for the following year.
Admission to the program is valid for the year the application is submitted. However, you can request deferment for the following year, but approval of deferment is on a case-by-case decision by the Admissions Committee. - Non-Admission: Admission to the program is highly selective. The selection process assesses the profile of the individual candidate while taking into account the composition of the MBA class, which must be consistent with the quality and diversity the school requires. While we are aware of the deep commitment all candidates must make to go through the selection process, the school does not provide further clarifications to non-admitted candidates.
Tuition Fees
the total fee is € 46,000* to be paid in four installments:

* An "early Bird Fee" of € 42,000 will be granted to candidates that have been admitted and have paid the deposit fee before 17 September 2024.

The tuition fee includes:
- Tuition
- All teaching materials
- Use of the infrastructure and services of SDA Bocconi
- Catering (coffee breaks) during face-to-face modules
The tuition does not include:
- Travel and accommodation expenses
Payment Methods
Early Bird Fee
SDA Bocconi offers an Early Bird Fee of € 42,000 for EMiLUX (full program fee: € 46,000).
The criteria for the early bird are the following:
- Have completed the selection process;
- Have been admitted by Recruiting&Admissions to the upcoming edition of the Master Program;
- Have paid the first deposit fee of €11,500 on acceptance of your admission to the Master Program.
All these requirements have to be completed before 17 September 2024. We invite you to apply on time.
Scholarships & Tuition Waivers
Each year multiple scholarships and tuition waivers are available for outstanding candidates, thanks to the ongoing support of companies, other organizations, as well as our alumni and current students.
SDA Bocconi School of Management is making available four partial merit-based tuition waivers up to EUR 11,500 to 2025/26 EMILUX candidates with an outstanding profile.
1st round Deadline: 1 July 2024
2nd round Deadline: 18 October 2024
Applications are evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Analysis of the requirements indicated in the specific notice of competition
- Analysis of academic and professional record
- Results of the EMiLUX selection process.
TUITION WAIVERS 2025-2026 EMILUX EDITION
Outstanding Candidates
To be eligible for a tuition waiver, you must:
- Have sent the application
- Look at the pre-requisites for the tuition waiver
- Send the tuition waiver application form and résumé by the deadline indicated (even though your selection process is still in progress)
The tuition waivers will be awarded during the selection process and no later than the starting date of the EMiLUX Program.
Loans and Funding
The School assists candidates with their search for funding by supplying the necessary documentation and encouraging them to explore all scholarship and loan possibilities. SDA Bocconi provides opportunities for low-interest loans to admitted students (International students, Italian students), thanks to agreements with partner banks. Loan applications must be submitted by the end of month that follows your Master starting date.
Furthermore, the University provides international students with information about possible sources for financing in several countries. For further information, please visit the Università Bocconi website.
