Amelia Compagni is Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Political Sciences of Bocconi University and Director of CeRGAS, the center for research in health and social care management of SDA Bocconi.
She served as Director of the World Bachelor in Business (WBB) and she teaches healthcare management and public management in undergraduate, graduate and PhD programs at Bocconi University and in MIHMEP and MIMS master programs at SDA Bocconi.
Her research interests span from management issues in healthcare organizations, innovation management dynamics among professional groups in the healthcare sector. Her works have been published on relevant international journals like: Academy of Management Journal, Health Care Management Review Health Policy, Health Economics, Policy and Law, Medical Care Research and Review, JPART and Public Administration.
She received a degree in Biology (Specialization in Genetics and Molecular Biology) from the University of Pavia, Italy. She then moved to Vienna, Austria for a PhD in Genetics working at the Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) on cancer genetics. After her PhD (1995-2000) she spent her post-doctoral fellowship at Cancer Research UK, in London, where she worked on the genetics of development (2000-2004). She then received a Master in Healthcare Management, Economics and Policy (MIHMEP) from SDA Bocconi.
