Grand Tour in Italy

In Palermo, MAMA students were guided through Palazzo Butera and Abatellis by the Directors, Branciforte by the Vice President of Fondazione Sicilia.  They were then accompanied by the assistant director through the World Heritage Royal Palace and Palatine chapel, experienced a concert rehearsal at Teatro Massimo and met with the marketing director of the theater. In Trapani, they saw the regional museum Pepoli and Segesta the archeological park, accompanied by the superintendent. 

After having the chance to meet the Princess Carine Vanni Mantegna di Gangi in class, students met her again at her Palace Valguarnera Gangi.  

Two Italian cities have been at the center of our MAMA Grand Tour. First stop, Naples! Here our students immersed themselves in the city's cultural riches through its incredible museums and sites. Then off to Rome and the FOROF, a unique entity that combines archaeology and contemporary art to implement a new cultural entrepreneurship model. They also saw some of the most famous villas and mansions, followed by a visit to Musei Vaticani and meeting some of its outstanding leaders.
