Simona Cuomo is an Associate Professor of Practice in Leadership, Organization & Human Resources at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Since 2010, she has also been the coordinator of the Diversity & Inclusion & Smart Working Observatory. She is a psychologist, certified coach, and counselor, authorized to administer Hogan Assessments.
Her research and competencies focus on the social identity of workers (gender, age, disability, etc.), inclusive leadership, practices supporting inclusion (smart working, work-life balance, parenting policies), and topics related to listening, empowerment, and people management in business (leadership, self-leadership, negotiation, public speaking, team management, feedback management, conflict resolution, stress and emotion management, self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, assertiveness).
Simona employs creative and experiential forms in both teaching and coaching. She has conducted numerous research projects, workshops, conferences, multi-target and multi-method training projects, consulting activities, and work-outs, establishing relationships with significant multinational and Italian companies in the services sector (Banca Italia, BPM, Accenture, Generali), pharmaceutical sector (Boehringer, Novartis), and manufacturing sector (Eni, Michelin, Nestlé, Decathlon).
Simona is the author of numerous books and articles, published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Gender Studies, Economics & Management, Sviluppo & Organizzazione, and ECCH Collection. She is also a co-author of the 'Art. 3' Blog. Simona is a member of scientific committees and Advisory Boards.
She holds a degree in Political Science with a focus on Social Psychology from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, a degree in Psychology from Università degli Studi Bicocca in Milan, a Master's degree and certification in Counseling from the Berne Center in Milan (Registered in the Italian Counselors' Register: Assocounseling), a Master's degree and Certification in Coaching from the In Coach Academy, and the title of Affiliate coaching from Columbia University. She is certified in Hogan Assessments. Simona is married and has three children.
