Gori Leonella is a Lecturer of Corporate Finance at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
Her collaboration with SDA Bocconi began in 2002. She is a faculty member of full-time and executive masters (Master in Corporate Finance, MBA and Global Executive MBA, Courses on Enterprise and Financial Risk Management, Financial Management and Corporate Finance). She teaches a Preparatory course at Università Bocconi – Graduate School and she teaches Financial management and Corporate Banking at the Graduate School in Management, Università Bocconi. She has been a team member in research projects financed by the European Union and coordinated by SDA Bocconi School of Management. She is a fellow at the Baffi –Carefin Centre for Applied Research on International Markets, Banking, Finance and Regulation, Università Bocconi. She coordinates Executive Education projects for the top management of a multinational company located in the Far East and she is a Jury Member in the MBA Annual International Competition in Finance organized by SDA Bocconi School of Management with the participation of the most renowned business schools.. She won the SDA Bocconi teaching excellence award – Specialized Masters - in 2011 and in 2012.
Her research is focused on enterprise valuation topics and on private equity. Recently, she has focused on the levels of risk affecting private equity activity and companies in turnaround situations. The results of her studies on private equity appeared in a working paper as part of the Baffi – Carefin Centre Research, presented at the International Conference on Computational and Financial Econometrics (CFE 2016, Seville) and in seminars at Düsseldorf University and in Rome, l’Università La Sapienza.
She has coauthored books on Enterprise Valuation and several articles published by Economia&Management on private equity activity. She has written about preferential financing and recently she has carried out studies and written an article about the role of Fintech in the financial system.
She earned a degree cum laude in Business Administration, Università Bocconi, 2002, a PhD in Corporate Finance, Università di Trieste, 2008. International Teacher Programme, 2009. Her education includes piano studies and some conservatory exams.
