Giuseppe Stabilini is an Associate Professor of Practice of Procurement & Supply Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management, where, since January 2017, he has been the Operations and Technology Management Faculty Deputy.
Furthermore, at SDA Bocconi he is the Director of the Executive Program in Procurement & Supply Management and head of the Supply Chain Management module in the Full Time MBA.
At Università Bocconi he teaches Global Operations & Supply Chain Management in the Master of Science International Management; Operations Management, and Supply Chain Management, both programs of the Master Memit (Master in Economia e management dei trasporti, della logistica e delle infrastrutture- Master in Economics and management of transport, logistics and infrastructures).
Since 2021 he is the Scientific Director of the Procurement Lab, a research center for developing skills, streamlining operational models and mapping out future scenarios in purchase and supply relationship management. His research activities focus on procurement and supply chain management, with a strong focus on chief procurement officer responsibilities and decisions, in industrial or service companies. Recently, he has focused his attention on projects dealing with suppliers’ portals and supply chain collaboration.
He is the author of numerous books and articles on his topics of interest. His works have been published in Strategie&Procurement, Finanza Marketing Produzione and Economia & Management, among others.
He has conducted numerous research, in-house education and consulting projects with some of the leading players in the automotive, household appliance, pharmaceutical and telecommunication industries.
Giuseppe earned a degree in Business Administration from Università Bocconi and an ITP (International Teachers Programme) organized by HEC in Paris in 2012.
He has won many teaching and research awards, including the “Teaching Excellence Award” (SDA Bocconi, Open Programs, 2009), “Teaching Award” (Università Bocconi, 2013/2014 and 2021 for Master of Science teaching activity) and the award “Innovation in Technology-Based Learning” (SDA Bocconi Learning Lab, 2011).
