The MSM admission process is rigorous and designed not only to determine whether you are qualified for the MSM program, but also whether the program will meet your expectations and career goals. The selection process is based on an overall analysis of various factors including skills, talents, and formal pre-requisites.
You are required to have:
You are required to submit an official transcript or certified copy of your grades (in English or Italian) and a certified copy of your degree certificate from the college or university you attended. This must include grades for individual subjects with the grading scale, the type of degree, the date of graduation and the dates of enrollment.
Applicants who obtained a university degree in Italy must provide a self-declaration of the Degree Certificate and Transcript (form provided by your university). This self-declaration is only for students who graduated from Italian universities, the so called “Dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione” (you can also use this format, if your university does not provide one).
MSM is held entirely in English, thus all applicants must be highly proficient in written and spoken English. If English is not your mother tongue, you must submit a result of the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic or CPE tests.
At the testing site, you can specify that your results must be sent directly to SDA Bocconi (TOEFL School Code: 0698, PTE School Code: R7G-6R-23). If you have already taken one of these tests, the original results must be sent directly to the School.
If you have taken a Cambridge English Language Test (such as CAE C1 or CPE C2), please send us your score following the procedure here.
Candidates for the MSM 2026 edition must take a test by October 2025 and test results prior to January 2023 are no longer valid.
A test result may be waived for mother-tongue English speakers and for students who did their degree in English, or can document significant professional experience in an English-speaking country.
References must be from people who know you well, and can comment knowledgeably on your professional and/or academic background, providing a detailed evaluation of your qualifications for our MSM.
The contact details of your referees (name, surname and email address) will need to be uploaded on the automatic tool of the online application form.
The referees will then receive a form via email to be filled out and submitted to us.
The GMAT (or GRE) is mandatory for all applicants. This is an internationally recognized test in English that evaluates your quantitative, verbal, and analytical skills. Although there is no required minimum score for admission, a high score is beneficial during the admission process.
Candidates for the MSM 2026 edition must take a test by October 2025 and test results prior to January 2020 are no longer valid.
When the test is taken, the name of the school should be specified, which will allow our Admission Services to receive the results directly. The GMAT identification code for the MSM is 3WJ-L8-95 and for the GRE is 3710.
Alternatively, you can ask Admission Services to take the SDA Test, organized by SDA Bocconi, which assesses quantitative, logical, and verbal skills. Enrolment for the test is organized directly through Admission Services after submission of the application for admission.

The application is available exclusively online and must be completed in English. The selection process begins in February 2025 and ends on October 30th 2025.
Applications are examined on a rolling basis. Those received well in advance of the deadline have a greater chance of being admitted. Therefore, it is in your best interest to submit your application as early as possible.
When we receive your application, we carry out a pre-selection based on the documents you sent. The Admissions Committee lets you know if you are considered suitable to proceed with the selection process.
If so, you will be required to have an interview, which may be held at SDA Bocconi in Milan or remotely (by phone or Microsoft Teams). This will allow you to show that you have the essential skills, talents, and motivations that are essential to getting the most out of our MSM program.
The final result will be communicated once the application is complete, which means all documents must have been received and tests completed. You will receive a formal letter from Admissions Service (results are never communicated via telephone). The selection process will yield one of the following results:
The total fee for the MSM 2026 program is € 30,000 to be paid in four installments. (Deadlines for installments to be defined)
