Progress toward achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is heavily reliant on science, technology, and innovation, including space-based services. Notably, the space sector plays a significant role in advancing over half of the 169 sub-goals delineated in the Agenda.
The SEE Lab Annual Conference (13 June, 10 am) aims to explore the symbiotic relationship between the space economy and the acceleration of the SDGs. Furthermore, the conference seeks to understand how actors already involved in the space sector, as well as those working with companies to enable social, environmental, and economic improvement, perceive and utilize space services and technologies to achieve sustainable objectives.
The debate will also explore the crucial contributions of public institutions, international financial institutions, and responsible investment funds in shaping strategies that support sustainable development through space innovations.
