In a world where global cooperation, solidarity, and social equity are more critical than ever, SDA Bocconi’s Executive Master in Management of International Organizations (EMMIO) is shaping the next generation of leaders who will drive lasting change.

This transformational program is designed to equip professionals—from International Institutions, NGOs, mission-driven startups and organizations—with the strategic mindset, leadership skills, and ethical responsibility to drive meaningful change on a global scale.

“In today’s global landscape, cooperation, solidarity, and inclusion are not political issues – they are essential social imperatives for a just and sustainable future” says Greta Nasi, EMMIO Director. “Through EMMIO, we empower professionals to lead international organizations with vision, resilience, and a commitment to global equity.”

A program that transforms professionals into global change-agents

International organizations today face mounting pressure, balancing budget constraints with their core missions. As governments tighten spending and efficiency measures reshape global governance, SDA Bocconi stands firm in its belief that human dignity, diversity, and equity must remain at the core of global leadership. That is why EMMIO is more than just an executive program—it is a catalyst for transformation.

Designed for mid- and senior-level professionals, this flexible, part-time blended master’s equips participants with the skills to navigate complexity, drive impact, and lead with integrity in Institutions such as the United Nations, European Commission, GAVI, Global Fund as well as International NGOs and development-focused private sector organizations.

“SDA Bocconi is the School of Management where impact is our common language,” says Stefano Caselli, Dean of SDA Bocconi School of Management. “We fuel decisions and initiatives towards positive change that values diversity, governance, sustainability, and merit. Research drives our progress, tackling globalization to cultivate responsible leaders.”

A Global Network of changemakers

With over 180 alumni from 70+ countries, EMMIO fosters a prestigious and diverse professional community. Participants are not just gaining new skills—they are joining a movement of committed professionals dedicated to advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

“EMMIO is about redefining leadership,” explains Alexander Maximilian Hiedemann, EMMIO Coordinator. “Our participants don’t just manage organizations—they drive systemic change, developing strategies that strengthen international cooperation and ensure no one is left behind.”

Investing in the future: new funding opportunities for impact-driven professionals

Recognizing the growing challenges faced by international professionals, SDA Bocconi has launched new partial tuition waivers for the 2025 EMMIO cohort. “Leadership today requires both technical excellence and a deep ethical commitment,” says Enzo Baglieri, Associate Dean for the Masters Division. “That is why SDA Bocconi is committed to support professionals who embody visionary leadership, ethical responsibility, and global impact.”

If you believe leadership is about more than just efficiency—if you are driven by the power of cooperation, the urgency of inclusion, and the responsibility of shaping a better future—then this is your moment.
