Simonetta Di Pippo wins the WE Award by Il Sole 24 Ore
Awarded in the "Education and Research" Category
Simonetta Di Pippo, Director of the Space Economy Evolution Lab (SEE Lab) at SDA Bocconi, is one of the winners of the WE Award – Women Excellence 2024, which celebrates outstanding achievements by women.
The award marks the conclusion of the Women at the Top project, organized by Il Sole 24 Ore in collaboration with The Financial Times and with a media partnership from Sky TG24. The initiative focuses on female empowerment, targeting not only businesses but also young people, including high school and university students.
The awards ceremony took place last night at the Teatro Lirico in Milan.
Di Pippo received the recognition in the “Education and Research” category from a jury chaired by Claudia Parzani, Chairman of Borsa Italiana. The jury highlighted her contributions with the following statement: “A distinguished scientist and one of the leading figures in today’s race to the stars, which plays a pivotal role in the current and future debate on public policies. A role model and an inspiration for countless young women and girls who aspire to make their mark in the world of scientific research. By dedicating her career to future generations, Simonetta Di Pippo has reaffirmed her forward-looking vision.”
