Full-Time MBA Kicks Off 49th Edition

The Full-Time MBA is off to a roaring start this week as it welcomes participants on campus for the 49th edition of the program. While borrowing from previous editions, the program evolves every year to include new lessons from the current and future landscape of global market challenges.

This year’s program, directed by Prof. Stefano Pogutz, has 113 participants, of which 27% are Italian and 73% international, from a total of 38 countries. The students have an average age of 29 and 6 years of experience in the field. The diversity of origin and experience of the class is a determining factor in the participants’ journey at SDA Bocconi, introducing them to different perspectives that will enhance their studies.

Opening week is a bootcamp that offers new participants a peek at the year ahead, with speeches from important figures, such as the keynote by Mario Monti, President of Istituto Javotte Bocconi; welcome speeches by Francesco Billari, Rector of Bocconi University, and Stefano Caselli, Dean of SDA Bocconi School of Management; and closing remarks from Paola Cillo, Associate Dean - Claudio Dematté Research Division, and Stefano Pogutz, Full-Time MBA Director.

After the opening ceremony, the participants partake in training activities to prepare them for the program and networking sessions to introduce them to their fellow classmates, an essential part of their MBA journey. The following week immerses participants in the context of the course with an Introduction to Global Scenarios, during which they will attend lectures on topics such as geopolitical and socio-demographic trends as well as the energy transition and climate change.  

The Full-Time MBA at SDA Bocconi is ranked 3rd in Europe and 6th in the world according to the Financial Times.
