How Much Is Culture Worth? (And More): find Out in the New Issue of E&M

The Dossier of the new issue of Economia&Management presents an ample examination of the cultural and artistic sector, in terms of its economic, managerial, and social aspects that intersect with tradition and innovation. As recalled in the editorial by the Editor-in-Chief of Economia&Management Fabrizio Perretti: “Cultural goods represent a fundamental heritage, especially for a country like ours, that is so rich in it. To preserve that heritage, though, it needs to be managed correctly, finding a balance between the resources required and the ability to obtain them, between the need to preserve and protect the heritage, and at the same time to make it usable and accessible.”

Through an analysis of the transformation underway in various segments – such as publishing, libraries, and museums – also in relation to new forms of exchange of original works, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) – the articles in the Dossier, edited by Paola Dubini, do not only indicate the scenarios facing the economy of culture today and tomorrow, but outline management processes and practices that are useful to govern the change.

The magazine also presents a Focus dedicated to the analysis of the effects of the pandemic on the activity of Italian businesses; a section that shows the difficulties faced by various segments of our production system, but also their great capacity for response and revival. This theme of the challenges Italian businesses will face in 2022 is also addressed by Fabrizio Perretti in the podcast reserved for subscribers to the magazine.
