The Covid-19 lockdowns and health measures have dramatically accelerated the digitalization process of society and business that has been underway for the past two decades, making remote work and online professional interactions in general more accessible and accepted. SDA Bocconi had been preparing for a true digital revolution for years. The new Campus with its top-notch tech equipment is the most tangible example. In the past months, this potential materialized in a number of activities and projects that impacted teaching, program curricula and knowledge creation.

Digital initiatives have flourished at SDA Bocconi in the past year: 30 new online programs were launched, both live streamed and on-demand (where asynchronous delivery better accommodates users’ needs); you now have the opportunity to attend on-Campus courses even live online; over 176 meetings were streamed, from events of interest for the business community to the School’s institutional meetings, from recruiting, selection and onboarding of participants in Master programs to exams for the various courses, graduation ceremonies and even a Christmas party.

And we are not stopping here. Today the School is ready to further accelerate its digitalization process: on 22 May it will virtually welcome over one thousand candidates from all over the world to its first Specialized Masters Open Day on a truly groundbreaking digital platform. This immersive experience will allow participants to interact with the School’s staff, and tailor their schedule in order to get the best understanding of the opportunities every Master program offers, thanks to presentations, virtual tours, meetings with our Recruitment & Admission team, chat rooms, and one-to-one conversations with our Master and Executive Master program directors. This will be the first in a new series of highly interactive digital events intended to orient and profile candidates, and allow them to virtually breathe the atmosphere of the School before they can physically experience it on Campus.

“These days, we are still living with overall uncertainty and this is driving us to push ahead with innovation in every possible way and in every aspect of the training and transformation process that one of our master programs represents,” says Enzo Baglieri, SDA Bocconi’s Associate Dean for the Master Division. “Health conditions are gradually improving and we expect a post-crisis rebound in the economy at a domestic and global level. That is why this is an ideal time to invest in yourself and in improving your skills. We are creating the conditions for our programs, their contents and learning experience to be able to anticipate the future and provide the labor market with leaders who are ready for new and unprecedented challenges.”
