Paola Roberta Boscolo is a Researcher at SDA Bocconi School of Management, in the Governance, Health and Non for profit (GHNP) knowledge group, and a contract Professor at Bocconi University.
Her collaboration with Bocconi University began in 2010, as a teaching assistant in Public Management and research fellow at the Centre for research on Health and Social care Management (CeRGAS). In 2013 she moved to Imperial College London (UK), where her research interests for innovation and the healthcare sector took her to investigate and closely interact with healthcare organizations and professionals, scientists and medical technology providers. Her research has focused mostly on the driver of innovation adoption and diffusion and the impacts of technology implementation on organizations and professions.
Since 2019, Paola is the Account Manager at Bocconi 4 innovation (B4i) leading the collaboration between Bocconi and Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) aimed at fostering the mutual exchange of competences and entrepreneurial ideas between the two organizations. In 2019 she has also started a research collaboration with IIT, as a Visiting Scientist of the Icub Facility in Genoa, working on the economic sustainability of the European Digital Innovation Hub in Healthcare Robotics (DIH-HERO).
At SDA Bocconi, she is currently working on the development of several innovation and corporate entrepreneurship projects and custom educational programs for mid and large corporates. In 2021 she joined the team of the new Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship Center of SDA Bocconi (ICE).
She actively engages with the European Group for Organization Studies (EGOS) and the Academy of Management (AOM) participating with her studies to the debate of the following divisions: Technology and Innovation Management (TIM), Organization and Management Theory (OMT) e Health Care Management. From 2018 she is a member of the Industry Studies Association (ISA) and part of the Experts group selected by the Organization Theory in Health Care Association (OTHC), in USA.
She has authored several articles in italian and international journals including: IEEE Robotics and Automation Magazine, Health Policy and Technology, International journal of cardiology, Expert Review of Medical Devices, Journal of Medical Marketing, Clinical Tehrapeutics, European Respiratory Review, Expert Review of Medical Devices, Rapporto OASI, Mecosan, Motore Sanità.
Paola holds a BSc and a MSc degree in Economics and Management from Bocconi and she obtained her PhD in Management from Imperial College Business School (UK).
