Magda Antonioli is a Senior Professor at SDA Bocconi School of Management. She is a Senior Professor at Università Bocconi (Department of Social and Political Sciences) and was director of Bocconi's M.Sc. in Economics and Management in Arts, Culture, Media and Entertainment. She teaches at Bocconi at undergraduate, graduate and master levels in various courses (Macroeconomics I Tourism, Local Identity and Destination Management I Cities - Cultural Tourism and Urban Life I Tourism Culture and Territorial Marketing I Economic Scenarios Markets and Enterprises I Tourism Policy and Governance).
Since 2011 Magda Antonioli has been the director of the SDA Bocconi programe for Executives in General Management for Hospitality and since 2019 she has been the director of the annual executive course in Tourism and Hospitality Management organized for Confcommercio Lecco. At SDA Bocconi School of Management, she has been in charge of various courses in tourism (Local tourist systems, Wine and Food Tourism, Parks, etc.) and she has taught in the Master of Management in Food and Beverage.
Her research interests focus on: Tourism Economics and Policies, Environment, Hotel investments, Wine and Food.
Since 2019, Magda Antonioli has been a board member of ENIT, Agenzia Nazionale del Turismo (the Italian Government Tourist Board) and Vice President of the European Travel Commission. She has been a member of various committees at national and international level: EU DG Enterprises, UNWTO World Tourism Organization, Chambers of Commerce, ENIT and various Italian Regions (from 1990 to 2005). From 2005 to 2010, she was a member of Ministerial and Regional Committees for research and studies on issues related to Environmental Economics. From 2009 to 2011, she was a member of two committees of the Ministry of Tourism for the promotion of the image of Italy. In 2012/2014 Magda Antonioli was appointed President of the Tourism Task Force for the Alpine Convention (Italian Ministry for the Environment) and from 2010 to 2015, she was a Special Advisor for Tourism to the EU Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship. From 2015 to 2017, Antonioli was a member of the technical Committee of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and took part in drafting the National Strategic Tourism Plan. From 2001 to 2017 Antonioli was the director of the Master Programe in Tourism Economics and Management at Università Bocconi.
Magda Antonioli earned a Bachelor degree in Economics from Università Bocconi(1973) and an M.Sc in Financial Economics from UCNW (UK) in 1975. Antonioli is married and has three children and five grandchildren.
