Giulia Giupponi is an Assistant Professor of Public Economics in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Università Bocconi since 2020. She is a research affiliate at CEPR (Centre for Economic Policy Research) and IZA, an international research fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and a research associate at the Centre for Economic Performance of the London School of Economics.
Her research interests lie in the area of Labor and Public Economics, with a focus on the employment and welfare effects of social insurance programs, the impact of minimum wages on firm behavior and the wage structure, and inequalities in the labor market. She is the author of numerous articles on her topics of interest. Her works have been published in the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Perspectives, and Economic Policy Journal, among others.
She got a Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics, and she was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
