Daniela Travella is a Lecturer in Accounting and Control at SDA Bocconi School of Management and a Contract Professor, Accounting Department, at Università Bocconi.
She started working at SDA Bocconi in 1992. Since then, she has directed many courses on financial and business reporting. She has conducted research, education and consulting projects with major clients operating in the manufacturing, food, energy and banking industries.
Her research activities focus on business and financial reporting, national and international accounting principles, budget analysis, economic capital assessment and corporate reorganization. Currently, she is working on three main themes: business and financial structure and performance, OIC and IAS / IFRS accounting standards (current situation and future prospects), evolution of financial and non-financial reporting.
She is the author of books and articles on budget and business valuation issues. A Charted Accountant, she is and has been a member of statutory auditors’ boards, supervisory committees and an independent member of boards of directors of Italian companies, some of which are listed. Currently she is President of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna.
Daniela earned a degree in Business Administration at Università Bocconi and an ITP (International Teachers Programme) at IMD.
