Claudio Zara is a Researcher at the Department of Finance at Università Bocconi.
At SDA Bocconi, he has been the Director of the Financial Analysis Program of the Banking and Insurance Department since 2005. He taught in the Master MPI (1997-2007), he coordinated the Merchant Banking project of the Banking and Insurance Department (1997-1998) and he taught in the MBA (1995-96). Since 1992, he has been involved in several projects in the fields of research and education for the major financial and banking entities in Italy.
His research mainly focuses on corporate banking and finance and, more specifically, on venture capital and private equity; corporate and investment banking; financial analysis and valuation; the relationship between finance and green business and the circular economy.
He is the author of several books and articles on his topics of interest. His articles have been published in refereed journals, such as the International Journal of Wine Business Research, Economia & Management, Bancaria e Finanza, Marketing e Produzione. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Credem Private Equity SGR. He serves as a Financial Adviser for the Register of Advisers and Experts at the Milan Chamber of Commerce. He has been a Visiting Fellow in several international universities including the National University of Singapore and Warwick Business School (University of Warwick). He won the SDA-DIBA Prize "Excellence in Innovation" in 2013 and the SDA Prize “Best Executive Teacher” in 2005.
Claudio graduated in Business Administration, with a specialization in Accounting and Control, from Università Bocconi and received an ITP (International Teachers Programme) diploma from the London Business School.
