Christoph Carnehl is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department of Università Bocconi.
His research interests lie primarily in the field of Microeconomic Theory. In particular, he is interested in dynamic problems with evolving information. The main applications of his theoretical research lie in the economics of science, the economics of innovation, and industrial organization more broadly. He is the author of numerous articles on his topics of interest. His works have been published in the Journal of the European Economic Association and in the Journal of Economic Theory, among others. He is also interested in empirical work so he has been working on the estimation of auction models, the analysis of merger policy, and the interaction of pricing strategies with online ratings.
He got a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Mannheim and he obtained his PhD at the University of Mannheim.
