The value of SDA Bocconi’s education and managerial culture has been reaffirmed once again. As of 4 February, the historical accreditation organization AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) officially renewed its accreditation of the School for the next five years, based on the positive judgment AACSB’s Peer Review Team ratified by the Board of Directors.
So SDA Bocconi continues the journey it started in 2011 with the first accreditation by AACSB including it in the small select group of business schools – now 76 worldwide – that have been awarded a “triple crown”, i.e. accreditation by the three major international assessment institutions: AACSB, EQUIS e AMBA.
AACSB was founded back in 1916 and is the international accreditation entity with the strongest tradition for economics and management schools, with over 1,700 associated schools and 900 accredited ones in 50 countries all over the world.
Several areas of excellence were identified by the evaluation team. For example, the quality of the learning process built on a very innovative Handbook. Other elements of value are the Research Labs as a structural innovation for impact research, together with the School’s shift from an approach focusing on individual initiatives to a life-cycle model with corporate clients, its ESG commitment as well as innovation of the learning offer with 40 new programs, multiple new teaching simulation tools, and a large number of business cases. Last but not least is the new campus, which has been awarded the prestigious Leed Platinum environmental sustainability Certification.
“Being reconfirmed by AACSB is an extra reason to be proud for us,” said Dean Giuseppe Soda, and strengthens our commitment to continue providing people, companies and institutions with a high-value learning experience, rigorous but open to the new, and capable of a high impact on the professional lives of individuals, the economy and society as a whole.”
