SDA Bocconi For Central Eastern Europe

With the support of representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, from SAM (Serbian Managers Association) and from the Italian Embassy, SDA Bocconi presented its executive training offerings—specifically designed for companies and institutions of Central-Eastern Europe—to top representatives of leading companies, banks and the Serbian public administration.
The main event was the talk by Sandro Castaldo SDA Professor of Marketing and Director Executive Education Open Programs Division, titled “Channel management and retail challenges: how new players and channels are changing the distributive landscapes”. He presented the main trends that are driving innovation and global transformation in retail, and the impact they have on consumer experience and channel management.
Transformation in retail is possible if you can take advantage of new technologies and big data in a smart way, if you can rethink business models, adapt marketing processes and actions to respond as quickly as possible to the competition’s evolutions, and those of clients and technology. Coherently with the rapid evolution of the industry and of the need to put the client center stage, some forward-thinking retailers are changing their inventories, their relationship with the clients and the companies upstream of the supply chain, their management models, their organizational structure, and their intangible assets.
The presentation included some virtuous and innovative case studies on Italian and international distribution excellence.

SDA Bocconi will thus be in Belgrade thanks to its collaboration with Mediona, with whom it has already provided two training programs on topics related to the European legislation on lobbying and to relations with European Union institutions. Soon they will launch a few short open-market initiatives on the topics of retail transformation (talked about during the event), marketing innovation, change management and leadership management.
