The new MAMA, Master in Arts Management and Administration mixes lectures, seminars, internships and a Grand Tour of the most famous artistic Italian cities.

MAMA, Master in Arts Management and Administration, is SDA Bocconi’s new specialised program. The course is aimed at young professionals aged between 25 and 35, who hold a degree in a humanities subject and have previous work experience in the arts sector, be it in museums, theatres, festivals or other cultural organisations.

This full-time program lasts 15 months (from October to December of the following year) and applications are already being accepted for next year. Taught entirely in English, the Master aims to equip participants with practical and theoretical managerial skills. Besides traditional class-based lectures with the faculty of the Business School, the course offers conferences, seminars and field projects with partners and institutions such as FAI,Fondo Ambientale Italiano, Filarmonica del Teatro alla Scala, and MUVE, Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.
A key feature of the new Master is the Grand Tour, a journey through the major centres of Italian culture, including, Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples and, of course, Milan.

“Supporting artistic innovation and promoting culture is only possible if you can blend passion and respect for the arts with entrepreneurial and managerial skills. MAMA is a unique course, international yet intrinsically Italian, where the country’s cultural excellence and artistic talent fuse with SDA Bocconi’s prestigious management training”, says Alex Turrini, Director of the MAMA, Master in Arts Management and Administration.
