The MBA program brought them together and with a scholarship in support of a new MBA student, Antonio’s classmates have decided to remember their friend who was taken too soon.
Jacopo, Rosalba, Claudio, Gabriele and many others met Antonio di Fresco in 2000, when he was 31 and enrolled in the 26th edition of the SDA Bocconi School of Management’s Master of Business Administration.
Together, they took on the challenges and issues that an MBA entails, sharing struggles, hard work, perseverance and lots of accomplishments. The connection that was created in the classroom did not end with graduation, but continued and stayed strong even many years later.
This was absolutely the case for MBA 26 and in particular for Rosalba, Claudio, Jacopo and Gabriele. After hearing about Antonio’s untimely passing, they decided to remember him by establishing a scholarship to support one MBA Full-Time student.
They raised more than €8,000 in just one day and in two weeks they reached more than €18,000. The latest numbers are available on this website, along with names of the donors. You can also contribute first-hand by making a gift. The fundraising is ongoing, but SDA Bocconi has already confirmed its commitment to making up the difference in order to complete the scholarship named after Antonio.
Gabriele Belsito, Class Leader, explains the activity he has promoted: “The MBA was a catalyst of our knowledge and our memories together are the glue for the experience. That’s why we came up with the idea of a scholarship as the best way to remember him.”
Antonio di Fresco, Head of Strategy at EON Italia and MBA 26 Alumnus “will be greatly missed,” says Rosalba. “He was always cheerful, conscientious and generous. We had to find a tangible way to remember him.”
