On Wednesday, 15 March, the Minister Councillor Rafi Erdreich, Director of Public Affairs from the Israeli Embassy in Rome, came to speak with 47 SDA Bocconi Master's Programs students.

His presentation focused on science, innovation and technology, in addition to the rich history of Israel, which enlightened students on how the unique business ecosystem has developed there.  The presentation was a kick-off event to a much anticipated, once-in-a-lifetime trek that the SDA Bocconi students will embark on from March 24-28 to experience firsthand the culture of entrepreneurship in Israel.  SDA Bocconi MBA student Elyse Krumholz, who organized and will be leading the trek, said "We were honoured to welcome the Embassy to kick off our trip to Israel.  The Entrepreneur Club spent months organizing a trip that will expose our classmates first-hand to the unique Israeli entrepreneurial ecosystem - including visits with startups, founders of successful high-tech companies, technology incubators, and investors."

"The Silicon Wadi, in Israel, has emerged as a formidable competitor with the much more known Silicon Valley in the USA. In terms of return on investments, number of generated new initiatives, exited deals, Israel is now representing an excellent benchmark for would-be entrepreneurs willing to understand how an effective ecosystem could boost creativity and innovation.
This experiential trip organized by the Entrepreneurship Club of the Full-Time MBA, is the result of a long preparation and another demostration of the creative talent of our students." said Stefano Gatti, MBA Director.
