The 2017 14th edition of the Rolex Mba’s Conference & Regatta has come to a close: INSEAD, Tuck and SDA Bocconi are the winners of the MBA’s Cup.

The 14th edition of the regatta dedicated to leading Business Schools from around the world came to a close on Saturday 30 September 2017. 50 boats with 390 students on board from more than 60 countries battled it out on the waters of Santa Margherita Ligure.

The international sailing event was organized by SDA Bocconi School of Management and Yacht Club Italiano, in partnership with Rolex.

The competition included three different categories: Open Class on the newest J70, won by INSEAD; Off-Shore Class, won by the students of the American TUCK School of Business; and Cruise Class, won by a boat made up of a mixed crew of Alumni of INSEAD and SDA Bocconi School of Management. The three crews were awarded the MBA’s Cup ex-aequo.

The event concluded with the traditional conference, this year titled “A Thing of Beauty Is a Joy Forever: Building credibility and sustainability through culture”, moderated by Maurizio Dallocchio, with a new format dedicated to the excellence of Italian cultural heritage. Speakers included Rachel Sanderson from the Financial Times and Andrea Carandini, President of FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano). Alexander Pereira, CEO and Artistic Director of Teatro alla Scala, participated as a discussant.
