Pietro Sirena is a Full Professor of Civil Law, Comparative Private Law, and European and International Contracts at Università Bocconi, where, since 2018, he is also the Dean of the Law School.
He is also part of the Knowledge Group 'Law and Regulation' at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
His research activity focuses on issues of unjust enrichment, consumer protection, banking contracts, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Pietro is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Law Institute (ELI) and president of the Society of European Contract Law (SECOLA). He is an associate member of the International Academy of Comparative Law. He is a member of the editorial board of the European Review of Contract Law (ERCL) and of the Observatory of Civil and Commercial Law. He is also co-director of the European Contract Law and Theory (EUCOLATH) series, published by Intersentia (Antwerp-Oxford).
He graduated with honors in Law from La Sapienza University of Rome and earned a PhD in Private Law from the University of Pisa.
