Manuela Brusoni is an Associate Professor of Practice of Government, Health and Not for Profit at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
At SDA Bocconi, she is Dean's Delegate for Accreditation and a member of the Scientific Board of the Impact Investing Lab. She launched and was the Director of MASAN, the Executive Education Program of Public Procurement in Health Care Organizations. At Università Bocconi she was a member of the Quality Assurance Unit.
She has conducted research, education and consulting projects for some of the major players in many different sectors, both at European and Italian level. Her research activities focus on public procurement and business government relations, quality and innovation in management education, both higher, executive and lifelong learning. Currently, she has focused on numerous topics linked to her previous research, including the role of public administration and responsibilities for innovation and competitiveness of businesses and the relationship between institutional models and the development of competencies for public procurement.
She is the author of numerous books and articles in her field of research, teaching and consulting. Her works have been published in Economia & Management, Public Management Review and Singapore Management Review, among others. She is the editor of and contributor to books for both international (such as Routledge, Greenleaf, Palgrave Macmillan) and Italian publishers (such as EGEA, Franco Angeli, CEDAM). She is Chair of the Accreditation Commission of ASFOR (Associazione Italiana per la Formazione Manageriale), the Italian Association for Management Education, member of its Board and contact person in ENQA, she is a former President of the Central Procurement Society of the Lombardy Region, a member of the Academic Board of ABIS (the Academy of Business in Society), System Evaluator for ANVUR (Agenzia nazionale di valutazione del sistema universitario e della ricerca) and a member of various Evaluation Units of Provinces, Municipalities and Health Care Organizations. She has been Chair Elected of various Committees of the Academy of Management (such as Chair Elected of Management Education Division, Chair Elected of the Best Article Committee of the Public Non Profit Division, Best Reviewer Award Health Care Management Division).
Manuela earned a cum laude MSc Degree in Civil Engineering from Università di Pavia and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from SDA Bocconi.
