Enrico Guarini is an Affiliate Professor of Government, Health and Not for Profit at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is an Associate Professor of Business Administration and Management at the l’Università di Milano-Bicocca.
At SDA Bocconi, he has been Director of the Executive Education-Custom Programs for Public administration, Healthcare and Nonprofit organizations. He has designed and led several research projects and custom executive education programs in Italian public administrations.
His research activities focus on public budgeting and financial management, public management and policy, management accounting and control systems, local governance.
He is the author of numerous contributions on his topics of interest. His works have been published in Financial Accountability & Management, International Review of Administrative Sciences, Public Money & Management, Accounting History, Accounting History Review, Qualitative Research in Accounting & Management, Accounting, the Auditing & Accountability Journal among others. He is Co-chair of the Special Interest Group on Local Governance at the International Society for Public Management (IRSPM). He is a member of the Scientific Board of the Azienda Pubblica journal and of Palgrave's Book Series on Public Sector Financial Management. He has also served as a member of the editorial board of the journal Economia & Management. He is a member of the Performance Evaluation Board of several local Italian governments.
Enrico earned an MSc and a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management both from Università Bocconi.
