Antonio Palmieri is a SDA Fellow of Competitive Strategy at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He has been an adjunct professor of Competitive Strategy at the Department of Management and Technology at Università Bocconi since 2011.
At SDA Bocconi, since 2019, he has been the Program Director of the Diploma Program in Sports Management for the Josoor Institute (a body created by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy 2022, Qatar). He has been a member of the SDA Bocconi Sport Knowledge Center since 2014 and has been teaching the "Sport Management in Action" module of the International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport (FIFA Master) since 2020.
He has carried out various research and training projects and consultancy with various sports organizations: FC Internazionale, Danish Football Association, FIFPro, FIJLKAM. Outside the sports field, he has carried out consulting projects with companies operating in the logistics, services and manufacturing sectors.
His researches concern strategic planning and integration into complex networks. Currently, his research activity is focused on the following topics: the definition of a framework for the analysis of sports ecosystems in a dynamic key, the evaluation of the impact of the composition of the board of directors on the revenues of football clubs, the levers for increasing revenues from sporting events.
His works have been published in Business Strategy and the Environment, International Journal of Logistics. Research and Applications and Economics & Management, among others.
Antonio earned a degree in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Bari in 2003 and a Ph.D. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Università di Bergamo in 2012.
