We will address innovation, especially product or service innovation, and the relationship between R&D and IT. With the ever increasing digital quotient in products, either for the product functioning itself or for the ability to offer services around it, do these functions need to be more closely tied? How do we move from just IT provision to a partnership around R&D? How do we organize to facilitate that? It seems increasingly there are chips and software in everything…and/or everything has a service built around it that relies on IoT, software, etc. that could be offered externally, providing the right value propositions can be built to increase revenues.
